Flora has been doing everything for her family. She educated two of her siblings, William and Ruth, and she has been supporting her parents financially. More recently, she and her husband Nelson built rental houses for her parents and started poultry projects for her brothers, Charles and Henry.
But that is not enough. She is accused of being stingy by the same family members she has been helping. Her youngest sister Ruth is the reason Flora divorced her first husband Jerome, after the two started having an affair. When Flora's husband Nelson gets involved in an accident, her parents send Ruth to stay in her house. They want Ruth to help them blackmail Flora into sending them money, but Ruth has a sinister agenda of her own. But Flora sees through all those schemes and refuses to host Ruth.
Furious, Flora's parents tell her that she is being punished by God for being a miser. But as it turns out, it is Flora's own mother who is the author of her misfortunes, including Nelson's accident...
